Medvedev warns after Russian general killed in Moscow blast
Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, threatens British journalists following an article in "The Times." The piece referred to the killing of a Russian general as a "justifiable act of defense." Medvedev warned, "Be careful! Anything goes in London."
Many of the reports provided by Russian media or government officials are part of propaganda. These reports are elements of the information warfare conducted by the Russian Federation.
Explosion in Moscow
General Igor Kirillov, chief of the Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical Defense Forces (NBC), died Tuesday morning when a remotely detonated device hidden in a scooter exploded in front of a residential building.
A Ukrainian source confirmed to the BBC that Ukrainian security services organized the assassination. However, Kyiv has not officially claimed responsibility for the attack.
Reactions in Russia
The case of the general's assassination was covered by "The Times", which, in an editorial, described it as a "justifiable act of defense of a threatened nation."
"All officials of NATO countries involved in decisions about military assistance to Ukraine and those participating in hybrid or conventional warfare against Russia are now considered legitimate military targets for the Russian state and all Russian patriots," Medvedev stated in his social media post.
