Since the start of 2023 through to December 1, over 452,000 individuals have been recruited under military contract, announced Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, at a staffing meeting for the armed forces. Medvedev, a former president himself, also commended Ramzan Kadyrov's efforts.

- Based on defense ministry data, in excess of 452,000 people have been enlisted for military service between January 1 and December 1 for the Combined Group of Forces, lamented Medvedev.

Medvedev Appreciates Kadyrov's Contributions

Focusing his praise on the systematic recruitment strategies adopted by many regions, particularly Moscow, Sevastopol, and Chechnya, the ex-president and primary Kremlin propagandist acknowledged the exemplary efforts in bolstering the Joint Group of Forces with contract servicemen.

- In Moscow, several effective methods were initially developed which later served as benchmarks for other jurisdictions, noted Medvedev. - Among these, I would like to underscore Chechnya's endeavors. The local administration sent over 30,000 citizens to the frontlines in support of the United Forces Group, he elaborated.

Renowned terrorist Ramzan Kadyrov recently declared that he intends to dispatch an additional three thousand Chechen troops to the frontlines.

Medvedev further asserted that Kadyrov's administration has been diligently preparing candidates for warfare in the self-governed republic. - More than 15,000 volunteers have been trained by the Russian Special Forces University in Gudermes, added Medvedev.

Massive Mobilization Effort in Crimea?

The ex-Russian head of state and prime minister also remarked that a significant fraction of the mobilized citizens are from Sevastopol, in the contested region of Crimea.

About Sevastopol, Medvedev indicated that the city is essentially on the front lines. - Medvedev asserted that most of the military personnel there have entered contracts, cognizant of the nature of their service and aware of the ground reality. He also conceded that the frequency of Ukrainian attacks on the peninsula is escalating.
