Justin Trudeau reminisces about his school friend
"Matthew Perry's sudden departure is shocking and deeply saddening. I will never forget our childhood games, and I am certain his fans worldwide will always remember the happiness he brought them. Thank you for all the laughs, Matthew. You were deeply loved and will be sorely missed," Justin Trudeau wrote on X portal.
People magazine highlighted the shared history of the famous actor and the current Canadian Prime Minister, who attended the same primary school, Rockcliffe Park Elementary, in Ottawa. To cement their intriguing connection even further, Matthew Perry's mother, Suzanne Morrison, served as the press secretary for Trudeau's father, Pierre Trudeau, a former Prime Minister of Canada.

He jokingly claimed that he and a friend had "beat up" the future Canadian Prime Minister during their fifth grade. "I'd like to think that I played a key role in his rise to power, ultimately leading to him becoming the Prime Minister," added Perry.
