Massive explosion near Soledar destroys field warehouse

The 25th separate naval brigade "Kievan Rus" successfully attacked and demolished a Russian field warehouse in the vicinity of Soledar, Donetsk region. According to reports from the Unian agency, the destructive blow was delivered using a mortar.

Soledar stands deserted
Video documenting the complete ruin of the city was made public a few weeks prior. The harrowing footage attests to the Russian army's desolation of Soledar, transforming it into a lifeless hive.
"The Russians have turned Soledar into a deserted town. Not a single building is left undamaged," Unian affirms. Russian occupation forces have persistently endeavored to capture Soledar, in the Donetsk region, for several months now. Serious battles unfolded on the city's outskirts, resulting in extensive infrastructure destruction.
On January 25, 2023, Sergei Cherevaty, chairman of the Eastern Armed Forces Group of Ukraine, declared the departure of Ukrainian soldiers from the city. A decision enacted to preserve the lives of soldiers. According to him, the fight for Soledar claimed as many Russian lives as the combined death toll of the two Chechen wars.
Russian attacks most intense in Avdiivka and Maryinka
On Saturday, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Avdiivka and Maryinka saw the heaviest Russian offensive. Ukrainian forces successfully thwarted 35 attacks in the Avdiivka region and 24 in Maryinka territory, as mentioned in an official announcement by the Ukrainian army's General Staff.
Within a single day, a staggering 95 combat altercations were reported. Fierce confrontations also ensued in regions including Kupyansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, and in mining and Zaporizhia directions.
