The leader of the Palestinian Autonomy, Mahmud Abbas, on Tuesday called the Israeli attack on a hospital in Gaza a monstrous crime and genocide, in which - according to Palestinian authorities - 500 people died that day.
Abbas assessed that countries supporting Israel are responsible for the attack. A high-ranking Palestinian official said that Abbas had canceled a meeting scheduled for Wednesday in Jordan with the President of the United States, Joe Biden.
The Arab world condemns Israel for attack on hospital. "Cruel war crime"
Condemnation has flowed from many countries towards Israel. Iran called the attack a "brutal war crime", Turkey recognized it as proof of a "lack of basic human values". The Arab League called on the West to "immediately stop the tragedy (in the Gaza Strip)".
European Council President Charles Michel stressed on his part that "an attack on civilian infrastructure violates international law".
"The analysis of the IDF's operational systems indicates that terrorists in Gaza launched a barrage of rockets, which flew near Al Ahli Hospital in Gaza at the moment of impact." - the Prime Minister of Israel dismissed the allegations.
Attack on the Israeli embassy in Jordan
In the meantime, in Ramallah on the West Bank of the Jordan, hundreds of Palestinians gathered in the evening, demanding Abbas's resignation.
The former Hamas leader, Khaled Mashal, has appealed to supporters to immediately gather for rallies in front of Israeli embassies to protest against the attack.

Abbas announced a three-day national mourning due to the attack.
