Famous brand unveils street-legal car: A track beast for the road
Maserati has created a street racing car based on the track version of the GT2. This model, in turn, is derived from the road-going MC20. Is it complicated? A bit. However, one must admit that the car is indeed impressive.

Looking at the photos, it’s easy to see that the GT2 Stradale closely resembles the racing GT2 rather than the road-going MC20. The car gives the impression of having come straight off the track. Large air intakes, extended splitters, and a substantial rear spoiler leave no doubt that aerodynamics was a priority. Most components are, of course, made from carbon fiber.
The interior strikes a balance between racing and road-going elements. There is a lot of carbon fiber and Alcantara, and the seats are practically the same as those in the GT2. The steering wheel resembles that of the MC20, albeit thicker. The audio and multimedia system also emphasizes the road-going character, which features a 10.25-inch screen. And what’s under the hood?
Of course, it houses the 3-liter V6 Nettuno engine, which in this version generates 635 HP. This engine is paired with an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, resulting in excellent performance. The sprint to sixty takes just 2.8 seconds, and the top speed exceeds 200 mph. This makes it the fastest road-going Maserati you can buy.
It’s not just fast on the straightaways. The car uses the same suspension as the racing GT2, ensuring superb performance in sharp corners. The aforementioned aerodynamics also provide up to 1,100 lbs of downforce.
How many units of the GT2 Stradale Maserati intends to produce is unknown. The price also remains a mystery. However, it’s certain that regardless of the production numbers, demand will exceed supply.
