Marbled zebra cupcakes
Zebra cupcakes are made with the addition of yogurt, which gives them a delicate texture and a light, creamy taste. Moreover, they remain perfectly moist after baking, and the addition of cocoa enhances their flavor. They look really impressive at a low cost—just alternate two types of batter.
They taste great on their own, but you can also decorate them with glaze, cream, or fruits. They are perfect for special occasions, kids' parties, family gatherings, or simple afternoon snacks.
Ingredients:
- ½ cup natural yogurt
- 2 eggs
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- ½ cup sugar
- 1¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons cocoa
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Preparation:
Step 1. Transfer the yogurt into a large bowl, add the sugar, eggs, and oil, and mix thoroughly. Then sift the flour with the baking powder and mix well or blend.
Step 2. Divide the resulting batter into two parts. To one of them, add cocoa and mix well. Pour vanilla extract into the second. You can also add seeds scraped from a vanilla pod.
Step 3. Alternately spoon the light and dark batter into cupcake molds. Place in an oven preheated to 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes.
Step 4. After this time, remove the zebra cupcakes from the oven and set aside to cool. Once they have cooled, you can remove the paper liners. Enjoy!
