Man arrested for threatening church employee with box cutter

The suspect, identified as 29-year-old Jorge Orozco, fled the scene shortly after the confrontation. However, the individual who reported the incident followed Orozco, eventually leading the police to locate him in a nearby neighbourhood. Orozco was detained without incident, and a box cutter was found on his person. The victim and two witnesses positively identified him.

Investigation and arrest

There were no injuries reported during the incident. Orozco's connection to the church, if any, and his motives for threatening the employee remain unclear. Following his arrest, Orozco was booked into the San Mateo County Jail, charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon. The Redwood City Police Department is continuing its investigation into this unsettling event.
