A plane carrying Malawi's Vice President Saulos Chilima and nine others has gone missing. According to the BBC, the aircraft disappeared from radar after departing from Lilongwe's capital city on Monday (June 10) morning. The search and rescue operation is ongoing but has not yielded results yet.
According to BBC reports, the plane carrying Malawian Vice President Saulos Chilima and nine others disappeared from radar on Monday (June 10) morning shortly after taking off from Lilongwe. The aircraft was scheduled to land at Mzuzu International Airport in northern Malawi but vanished from radar during the flight.

A statement released by the President’s office announced that President Lazarus Chakwera has canceled his planned flight to the Bahamas.

Currently, the search and rescue operation is ongoing. So far, the aircraft has not been found. According to some unofficial sources, the plane may have made an emergency landing in a forest.
