A delightful, edible Christmas tree immediately grabs your attention and after one bite, you cannot resist coming back for more
Ingredients:
- About 1.1 lb low-fat farmer cheese,
- 3 tablespoons of natural yogurt,
- About 1 ounce of pistachios,
- 1 tablespoon of grated lemon zest,
- About 1.4 US cups of chopped fresh dill,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- 1/3 teaspoon of pepper,
- About 1.4 US cups of chopped parsley,
- About 2 ounces of whole almonds,
- About 1 ounce of dried cranberries,
- About 7 ounces of crackers,
- 1 star of yellow cheese.
Preparation process:
Step 1. I initiate today's recipe by fabricating the cheese base of our future tree. For this, I blend the low-fat farmer cheese and natural yogurt.
Step 2. Thereafter, I add chopped dill, grated lemon zest, chopped pistachios, dried garlic, salt, and pepper to the cheese mixture. These ingredients are then mixed thoroughly to achieve the perfect fusion of flavors.
Step 3. Next, I lay a piece of cling film on the kitchen counter and transfer the cheese mixture with add-on items to it, shaping it into a neat tree form.
I then leave this tree-shaped cheese base to chill in the fridge for 2 hours.
Step 4. In the meantime, I chop fresh parsley finely and scatter it on the cutting board. After the wait, I remove the chilled tree and carefully coat it in parsley.
Step 5. All that remains is to embellish the festive, edible centerpiece. To do this, I make use of cranberries and almonds.
Step 6. I arrange the completed tree in the center of a serving platter and then surround it with crackers. Of course, a traditional star on top of the tree is a must. I fashion this by using a cookie cutter to shape a piece of yellow cheese. With that, the delicious snack is ready to be served to guests immediately. Bon appétit!
