Make this easy hazelnut cake for a delightful surprise

Here is a recipe for a delicious cake that even the biggest amateur can handle. It's very simple, although its taste doesn't suggest that: it's a wonderful mix of sweetness, hazelnuts, and a perfectly fitting fruit. You'll surprise your family with this recipe!

It's delicate inside and wonderfully crunchy outside. Hazelnut Cake is my plan for this year's family gatherings and also a sweet Sunday snack to accompany afternoon coffee. Its preparation method is so simple you won't believe it. Apart from the nuts, the cake contains one more specific, perfectly chosen ingredient—bananas.

Simple cake with nuts

So, if you are looking for an idea for a simple yet wonderfully tasty cake, the hazelnut cake will be perfect for you. If you don't have much experience in baking and want to try your hand at it, it will also be ideal. On the other hand, if you feel confident in confectionery, this recipe will remind you of the noble culinary principle that sometimes less is more.

I haven't yet mentioned the concise brevity of the recipe. Only a few ingredients, but so much joy! It's really worth it. I highly recommend and invite you to try the recipe below.

Hazelnut cake

Ingredients:

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • about 8 oz hazelnuts
  • 2 eggs
  • 12 oz all-purpose flour
  • 3.5 oz butter
  • 5 oz sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 package of vanilla sugar

Preparation method:

  1. Crack the eggs and mix with vanilla sugar and half of the white sugar.
  2. Peel the bananas, cut them into smaller pieces, and add them to the above mixture.
  3. Mix again. Reduce speed and gradually add the flour. Finally, add the baking powder.
  4. Chop the nuts, but not too finely.
  5. In a pan, heat the butter, add the sugar, and stir until the mixture caramelizes. Now, add the chopped hazelnuts. Keep the pan on a little longer, then remove from the heat.
  6. Line a baking form with parchment paper. Pour half of the prepared batter into it. Add a layer of caramelized nuts, batter again, and nuts again.
  7. Place the form in the oven, set to 350°F, and bake for about 40 minutes. The hazelnut cake will be ready after this time. Enjoy!
