Pardon me for sounding clichéd, but December has always been my favorite month of the year. It's not just about year-end reflections, it's about the spirit that comes with this month. The moment the calendar flips to December 1st, my home transforms into a hub of holiday vibrancy, the kitchen not left behind. Today is no different.

Brace yourself as I share a tried-and-tested recipe for delightful snowflake cookies that not only taste fantastic, but also scream winter. Baking them is absolutely fun. Let's dive right in!

Homemade snowflake-shaped cookies to perfect your winter menu

Ingredients:

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry,
  • 0.7 oz of melted butter,
  • 1.7 oz of brown sugar,
  • 2 teaspoons of cinnamon.

How to prepare:

Step 1: Let's start by preparing the base of the cookies. To do this, spread out a sheet of puff pastry on the counter. Place a small bowl on the dough, trace its circumference, and cut out the shape.

Step 2: Next, spread melted butter on each cut-out piece, followed by the addition of brown sugar and cinnamon. Cover each piece with an additional sheet of puff pastry.

Step 3: That's not all. To give our cookies their distinctive shape, position a round mold at the center of each pastry stack and make cuts around the circle, creating even-numbered strips.

Step 4: Twist each strip several times to create a spiral effect. Finally, join two adjacent elements together.
