Motherwell FC, established in 1886, is a football club with a rich history. It has chalked up numerous accolades, including a victory in the Scottish Championship and two Scottish Cup wins.
This season, the performance of Motherwell players in the Scottish Premier League has been lackluster. They haven't secured a win for exactly three months now, with their last victory being against the Heart of Midlothian on September 3rd. Following this, they experienced seven losses and four draws, marking a disappointing trajectory.
It remains to be seen whether the newly leaked list of player fines will drive better results. The team's coach, in effort to enhance discipline in the locker room, has introduced some unique directives. These new additions to the rule book have inadvertently increased the team's popularity.
"All fines were levied sensibly and in line with the team's judgment," states a note underneath the list. Some of these fines can be seen as slightly humorous.
The heftiest fine set for a Motherwell player was incurred for missing the Christmas party. The absence fee stands at 250 pounds ($333). An early departure from the party can result in a 150-pound ($200) fine, making it a rather expensive transgression.
The list stipulates 25 rules in total. Included are a 25-euro ($28) fine for urinating in the shower, a 100-pound ($133) penalty for being late to board the bus, and a minor 10-pound ($13) fine for poor parking practices at the club's headquarters.
