"The hatred propagated by Russia threatens our world order. It heightens the danger to each of us, which is why we must continue to support Ukraine," said Nauseda in a Saturday address to the Lithuanian nation.

"Each weapon, each load of humanitarian aid, each euro we donate saves lives and brings Ukraine nearer to victory. Our shared victory. The victory for our freedom," stressed Nauseda in a video recording posted on social media.

On the second anniversary of the war, the Lithuanian leader reiterated the importance of building people's resilience and ability to fight against the evil that can only be overcome with considerable determination and effort.

A plea from the head of the Lithuanian government

"We have had enough harsh lessons in history. Now is the time to demonstrate what we've learned," urged Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte. "We cannot afford to turn a blind eye or cease supporting those who are defending their freedom and protecting us. Where Russia ultimately halts depends on us," she added.

Lithuania commemorates the second anniversary of the Russian invasion of Ukraine on Saturday. Various events such as concerts, exhibitions, and demonstrations are being organized for this occasion.

A support and solidarity march will take place in Vilnius in the afternoon. It will conclude with a rally attended by the country's leaders and representatives of diplomatic missions. In the evening, a concert will be held in Lukiskes Square in the city center, marking the finale of the "Radars" campaign. This month-long campaign has been raising funds across the country to purchase so-called safe soldier kits, which include a night vision monocular, a laser sight, and individual anti-drone measures.
