Lion escapes from the circus: A video from Italy goes viral

A massive lion, which escaped from a circus and was found wandering through the streets of Ladispoli, a town near Rome, was captured by authorities on Saturday evening. The incident was recorded, and the video was later posted online.

Some residents filmed the predator's peaceful stroll. The course of its walk was noted: it walked along Varsavia, then Mosca, and finally Budapest.

The town's mayor, Alessandro Grando, urged residents to stay inside. He assured that specialists equipped with sedatives to subdue the lion were on their way.

Italian media announced that the lion was successfully captured after a large-scale operation involving police, forest guards, carabinieri, and officers from various other services.

The animal was tranquilized and moved to a secure location. The Ansa agency reported it's in good health.
