David Harbour, an actor who gained widespread popularity for his role as Hopper in the Netflix mega-hit Stranger Things, was confirmed to be in a relationship with the British singer in 2020. As she claimed, her career took a backseat because of family obligations. Everything seemed fine until the news broke that Harbour had been unfaithful.

He was connecting with potential partners on the same dating app where he initially met Lily. The media buzzed with reports of the singer turning detective to prove her partner’s infidelity. She allegedly set up a fake account on the app and followed Instagram accounts to check if David was among their followers. Ultimately, the two have not been together since December of last year.

Arguments over AI

Following their breakup, media outlets noted that Allen hinted at troubles on her podcast a few months ago. For instance, during the summer, she did not shy away from mentioning that her partner suggested some rather risqué activities, which she consistently refused.

A few months before the breakup, she discussed having arguments with him through the use of artificial intelligence.

"I use [ChatGPT] more for personal stuff," she explained. "If me and David have had an argument and I need to articulate it, I’ll be like, ‘Write me a long text message about an argument that started with the dishwasher and ended in an argument about our finances.'”

She explained her approach to personalizing responses, suggesting that she include her perspective on the topic, connecting it to his mother. Her method involved directly copying and pasting each sentence.

It’s interesting to wonder whether the breakup also occurred through messages and artificial intelligence.
