Lily Allen entered show business almost two decades ago, and her music career seemed exceptionally promising. The artist managed to launch several big hits, still heard on radio stations worldwide. Despite a strong debut, Lily's fame quickly faded. The singer released her last album in 2018, shortly after her divorce from Sam Cooper. Later, she tried acting, but it's hard to say she achieved significant success in that field. Today, the artist's name appears in tabloid headlines mainly regarding her personal life and public revelations, which are widely discussed online. Some time ago, the 39-year-old shocked the public by confessing that "children ruined her career", and later shared unconventional "parenting" advice.

Recently, Allen made headlines again after the singer shared an honest confession in a new episode of her podcast "Miss me?". The star revealed that after moving with her husband and daughters to New York City, her mental health issues worsened, and she stopped eating.

I've been going through a tough time over the last few months and my eating has become a real issue. My therapist and I talk about it and she says, 'How long has this been going on?' And I said, 'Well, about three years really.' And she's like, 'OK, why haven't you mentioned it before?' - she explained.

Allen emphasized that she feels her body and mind are separate entities.

I'm really not in a great place mentally at the moment, and I'm not eating. But I'm not hungry. I obviously am hungry, but my body and brain are so disconnected from each other that my body… the messages of hunger are not going from my body to my brain - added the British artist.
