Google is diligently working on the next generation, the first high-quality images recently leaked online. The Rozetked service released a series of visualizations showcasing three models. Based on leaks, they are anticipated to launch as Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL.
The upcoming Google flagships will feature different screen sizes:
Despite the variance in screen sizes, the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro are expected to have similar, if not identical, case dimensions. The pricier model might achieve this by employing marginally smaller bezels. All three devices will boast AMOLED screens with a 120Hz refresh rate.
A notable design shift is seen in the camera module, which no longer stretches across the phone's width, unlike the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro. The new models feature flat rear panels and screens, departing from the previous generation's curved edges. Now, the side edges are entirely flat as well.
Earlier rumors also suggest the lineup will expand with a foldable smartphone, likely dubbed the Pixel 9 Pro Fold. A full unveiling of the new models is expected in October, though initial details may emerge as soon as May 14 during the Google I/O 2024 conference.
