Kremlin warns of danger as West removes arms limits for Ukraine
The Kremlin responds to the decision announced by the German Chancellor. Friedrich Merz stated that the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France have lifted restrictions on military equipment supplies to Ukraine. "This means Ukraine can now defend itself, for example by attacking military targets in Russia," Merz added.
Many reports provided by Russian media or government representatives are elements of propaganda. Such reports are part of the information war conducted by the Russian Federation.
The decision by Germany and its allies is groundbreaking because until now they had refused to supply Kyiv with long-range weapons, fearing escalation from Russia.
There are no longer any restrictions on the types of weapons supplied to Ukraine—neither by the British, nor the French, nor us. There is also nothing of the kind on the American side. This means Ukraine can now defend itself, for example, by attacking military targets in Russia," he said on Monday.
Russia responds to the decision of Ukraine's allies
The Kremlin called the decision of Ukraine's allies "dangerous."
The decision by some European countries to lift restrictions for Kyiv on the range of missile strikes on Russian territory is potentially dangerous and contradicts attempts to resolve the conflict," said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, whose words were quoted by the TASS agency.
Merz later posted on the X platform, where he wrote: "We will do everything we can to continue supporting Ukraine. This also means no range restrictions on the weapons we provide. Ukraine can now defend itself by also attacking Russian military positions on Russian territory."
Trump on Russia's massive attacks: "I don't like it"
Moscow has been conducting massive attacks on Ukrainian cities for several days. On the night from Friday to Saturday, the Russians launched about 170 drones over Ukraine. More than 20 headed toward the capital, Kyiv, and around 50 were in the vicinity.
In addition to hundreds of drones, the Russians also deployed bombers. On the night from Sunday to Monday, the massive attacks killed 12 people. The Ukrainian Air Force conveyed that Russia conducted attacks using 367 different missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. It was the largest air attack on Ukrainian cities since the beginning of the war.
Former US President Donald Trump, referring to the massive attacks, stated that "he doesn't like it" and "doesn't know what happened to Putin."
