Stay updated on the war in Ukraine.

On Thursday, Bloomberg released an article arguing that Putin was checking whether Washington was open to discussions on Ukraine and had approached the United States through indirect channels.

The report quoted two individuals close to the Kremlin as saying Putin "might be open to abandoning his insistence on Ukraine's neutral status and could also potentially give up his opposition to the country's possible NATO membership".

Dmitry Peskov Denies Claims

When asked about the report on Friday, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov was queried specifically about Moscow's openness to reevaluate its stands on Ukraine's neutrality and potential NATO membership.

"No, these reports are false. They absolutely do not mirror reality," said Peskov.
