On Tuesday, King Charles and his wife, Camilla, visited a university hospital in London, renowned for its comprehensive services in the diagnosis and treatment of cancerous and non-cancerous diseases.
King Charles III's health: His smile briefly disappears
When asked about his health, the King responded, "I'm alright, thank you." According to the Daily Mail, a small cohort of devoted fans congregated outside the hospital upon hearing of the royal visit. A 69-year-old royal enthusiast from Streatham, south London, even presented roses to Charles and Camilla.
A royal spokesperson said the King aims to demonstrate that you can work alongside cancer.
University College London Hospitals (UCLH) Chair Baroness Julia Neuberger and Chief Executive David Probert welcomed the King and the Queen during their visit. They engaged with clinicians and explored the hospital's innovative technologies, including CT scanners critical for the early detection of cancer.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday (April 29), Prince William visited a company in Seaham, Durham County, shortlisted for the Earthshot Prize, while his wife, Kate, continued her battle with cancer.
