Kim Kardashian recently shared on her reality show about a less-than-pleasant encounter with Karl Lagerfeld's pet. North West's mom had made plans to appear with the designer's beloved cat at the prestigious MET Gala this year but the feline did not respond well to Kardashian's presence.

Kim Kardashian, the leading figure in the reality show airing on Disney+, gives to viewers a wealth of insight into the glamorous lives of the well-known Kardashian-Jenner family. The unfiltered documentation of her life, and that of her siblings and mother, brings to light previously unknown details. The 43-year-old reality star discussed in a recent episode an uncomfortable experience from her latest trip to Paris, which involved a visit to the beloved cat of style guru, Karl Lagerfeld.

The American celebrity disclosed that a few months ago, she flew to Europe with her son and his football team for some live soccer games. After a brief stay in London, they journeyed to Paris, where Kim took an opportunity to visit Lagerfeld's beloved cat, Choupette.

This visit aimed to get acquainted with the four-legged heiress ahead of her scheduled appearance with her at this year's MET Gala. The gala celebrated Karl Lagerfeld's creative contributions and achievements in the fashion industry, and Kim was eager to grace the red carpet alongside the Birman cat who was Lagerfeld's treasured companion until his final days.

The star of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" likened the situation to a "blind date". Choupette, valued at $13 million, was brought in a specially commissioned Louis Vuitton carrier, and placed beside Kim on the couch. The cat, however, seemed highly anxious in Kim's presence and hissed each time Kim tried to pet her.

"Maybe Choupette's just playing hard to get, or maybe she just needs some time," - she humorously suggested on camera.

Choupette, uncomfortable in Kim's presence, almost bit Kardashian's finger. This marked an end to her plans of further bonding with the posh cat and taking her to the high-positioned fashion function.

"There can be many factors that make a cat act up, such as the presence of cameras and people. Even if she's scared of the cameras, and not me, I don't think it's fair to Choupette. I quickly realized that this arrangement wasn't going to work," Kim Kardashian confessed, expressing her disappointment. "Therefore, I've decided not to bring her to the MET."

In the end, the memory of Karl Lagerfeld's pet was honored at the gala by Jared Leto. The frontman of 30 Seconds to Mars showed up in a fur outfit designed to mimic Choupette's appearance, and his feline-inspired costume triggered quite a bit of chatter.
