The leader supervised shooting exercises and expressed "great satisfaction over the performance and power of the sniper rifle developed in our own way," reported KCNA. This event underscores North Korea's aim to bolster its armed forces.

AFP reports that South Korean intelligence indicates the deployment of thousands of North Korean special unit troops to Russia to support Moscow in the conflict with Ukraine. Meanwhile, former US President Donald Trump, who has met Kim three times, stated that he remains in contact with Kim and plans to "do something at some point."
