November 11 holds significance not only in Poland but also in many other countries worldwide. The date marks the symbolic end of World War I, and in Britain, it is celebrated as Remembrance Day. An integral part of this celebration involves the wearing of artificial poppies sold by the British Royal Legion.

British Royal Family commemorates Remembrance Day

Not only "ordinary" Britons but also members of the royal family wear poppies to mark the occasion. This past Saturday, key members of the royal family attended the ceremonies at the renowned Royal Albert Hall.

During the ceremony, new life-sized statues of Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Queen Victoria, and Prince Albert were unveiled. These statues commemorate Remembrance Day and the 150th anniversary of the Royal Albert Hall. The venue is not solely reserved for royals; it has seen performances by notable artists, including Adele, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan.

As is often the case, Kate Middleton captured the attention of photojournalists and internet users. The wife of Prince William is well-loved by Britons who appreciate her humility, and respect for royal duties. Her fashion sense is also a key point of interest. The Duchess is known for incorporating garments or jewelry from deceased royal family members into her wardrobe to pay them homage.

While Kate often pays tribute to Princess Diana in this way, on this occasion she chose to wear pearls from Queen Elizabeth II, coinciding with the unveiling of the Queen's statue during the ceremony. The royal jewelry made a striking contrast with Middleton's simple, classic black dress.

Did she manage to impress yet again?
