Seeking the White House seat after President Joe Biden's resignation, Kamala Harris continues to gain in the polls. The current Vice President has reversed the unfavorable trend for the Democrats and is steadily increasing her lead over Donald Trump.
According to the latest poll by the international organization YouGov, Harris can count on 46 percent support, giving her an advantage over the incumbent, Donald Trump, who is supported by 44 percent of respondents.
This is another poll indicating the Democratic candidate’s lead.
Harris celebrates, Trump panics
According to the poll summary published on Monday, Harris maintains a several-point lead over Trump.
According to the poll conducted on behalf of the Independent Center, Harris has a 4-point lead in Pennsylvania, a 6-point lead in Michigan, and a 9-point lead in Wisconsin. Winning these three swing states would likely secure a victory for the Democrats in November, assuming they also retain their traditional strongholds.
In nearly all similar surveys before Joe Biden withdrew from the race, the sitting president lost to Trump in all the swing states.
According to the national poll average calculated by "The New York Times," Harris’s ratings are 1 percentage point higher than Trump’s (48-47 percent) across the country, similar to the RealClearPolitics average. The average from "The Economist" gives Harris nearly a 3-point lead (47.8-45 percent).
