Kale is on the rise in popularity. People still look at this green plant with some suspicion, even though many are occasionally replacing other ingredients, like spinach. Such diversification of healthy sources can benefit us greatly, especially considering the remarkable features of this still underappreciated kale.
What are the characteristics of these interesting green leaves? First and foremost, they are packed with vitamins A, C, and K and essential minerals like potassium, iron, calcium, and magnesium. They are also rich in antioxidants and high-quality plant protein. All of this makes a kale smoothie a source of antioxidants and essential vitamins that help the body function correctly and components that regulate metabolism and support intestinal health. Therefore, a kale smoothie can benefit anyone trying to shed extra pounds.
Of course, it’s not just about being healthy; it's also about being tasty. Kale might be a bit too bitter (especially if raw and not pre-frozen), so adding a neutral banana, sweet kiwi, and refreshing, tangy apples to the mix is good. Below, we present an example recipe for such a smoothie. Give it a try, and see those love handles disappear!

- 1/2 lemon.
Preparation:
- Wash the kale leaves and cut off the hard ends of the stems. Peel the banana, kiwi, and apple. Remove the apple seeds, too.
