Much of the information presented by Russian media or government representatives is propaganda. These reports are part of the information war conducted by the Russian Federation.
The award for Adam Kadyrov was announced on Telegram by Adam Delimchanow, a deputy of the Russian Duma originating from Chechnya. The Kremlin propagandist wrote that the son of the Chechen leader demonstrated "particular successes" in sport, and also achieved "a series of indisputable victories in prestigious mixed martial arts tournaments".
"My dear brother, Adam Ramzanowicz Kadyrov, was awarded the 'Hero of the Chechen Republic' medal. Everyone knows him as a brave young man, dedicated to the path of his great-grandfather and honorably representing his family!" stated Delimchanow.
The politician added that Adam Kadyrov has memorized the entire Quran, "earning himself the high title of hafiz" (an honorary title of a Muslim who knows the Quran by heart - ed.).
Kadyrov's son brutally beat a man
At the end of September, a scandalous recording surfaced online, showing the son of terrorist Ramzan Kadyrov brutally beating Nikita Zhuravel - the man was arrested by Volgograd region authorities in May after he posted a video online burning the Quran in front of a mosque, uttering words mocking Muslims.
The authorities reported that Zhuravel confessed to burning the Quran "on the order of the Ukrainian special services". He was accused of ""public actions expressing a clear lack of respect for society and committed to insult religious feelings".
Although the crime was committed in the Volgograd region, Zhuravel was transported to serve his sentence in Chechnya, headed by Ramzan Kadyrov. He was sent there by Vladimir Putin himself, who on June 13th declared that "those guilty of burning the Quran should serve their sentence in a Muslim region."
