Justin Timberlake took his first steps in show business as an 11-year-old boy. Today, he is considered one of the most popular vocalists in the world. In the second half of June, the 43-year-old artist made headlines after it was revealed that he had been arrested in New York for allegedly driving under the influence of alcohol. The police intervention reportedly occurred after the American star ran a stop sign and did not stay in his lane.

According to media reports, the "drunken spree" of the "Cry Me a River" hitmaker was preceded by a dinner with friends. According to the Daily Mail, the singer allegedly stated during the arrest that he had "only one martini". Last Friday, a court hearing took place, where Justin was represented by his lawyer. Attorney Edward Burke Jr. stated in court that "the police made a mistake" and expressed his confidence that the charge of driving under the influence would be dismissed.

A few days after the aforementioned hearing, the Daily Mail published the contents of the police report, written during Justin Timberlake's arrest. It was revealed that the singer was in possession of an e-cigarette, a Rolex watch, a gold ring, and $306 in cash. Earlier information was also confirmed that the 43-year-old refused to undergo a breath test and a chemical test for the presence of psychoactive substances.

How Justin Timberlake behaved when the police stopped him

According to the police report, Timberlake "was unable to comply properly with the police's instructions". It was also observed that he had "glassy eyes," and "the smell of alcoholic beverage was emanating from his mouth". The officer also noted that the singer "could not focus and moved unsteadily." Additionally, it was revealed that the 43-year-old failed the sobriety tests. He was asked, among other things, to take nine steps in a straight line, placing the heel directly in front of the toe each time, then turning around and repeating the entire process, as well as to raise one foot slightly off the ground and hold it in that position for 30 seconds.

The officer followed standard field procedures and determined that Timberlake exhibited numerous signs of intoxication, such as wobbling on his feet, turning in the wrong direction, and an inability to maintain balance - according to the Daily Mail article.
