Justin Bieber breaks silence: Diddy scandal casts shadow
Since the scandal surrounding Diddy's arrest for numerous offenses, including sexual ones, Justin Bieber's name keeps appearing in the media. The rapper used to spend time with Bieber, who was 15 years old at the time. Now, the Canadian star is breaking his silence and confiding in friends about the times he describes as hell.
A special moment in Justin Bieber's life, when he welcomed his firstborn son, Jack Blues, a month ago, was abruptly disrupted. This was due to shocking reports about disgraceful acts allegedly committed by one of the world's most famous rappers, Diddy, with whom the singer was friends until recently.
The Canadian musician's relationship with the rapper extended beyond studio work. At just 15 years old, Bieber became Diddy's protégé and, from then on, regularly attended the rapper's legendary parties, which the teen idol later referenced in his songs.
The shocking revelations about the rapper have deeply disturbed the 20-year-old. As reported by the Daily Mail, the Canadian cannot take pleasure in discovering the joys of parenthood. In a conversation with the portal, someone close to the musician revealed that the new father is "deeply disturbed" by the shocking allegations against Diddy and still obsesses over the rapper's actions, especially since they collaborated on Diddy's most recent album, The Love Album: Off the Grid, less than a year ago.
Rumors are growing louder that the singer himself might be a victim of Diddy, but no credible evidence has been presented so far. Meanwhile, an old video has resurfaced online, in which Bieber, still underage, spoke about two days spent with the rapper. Most surprising to commentators, however, were Combs' own words.
"You ever seen the movie 48 Hrs? Right now [Justin is] having 48 hours with Diddy, him and his boy. They’re having the times of their lives, like where we hanging out and what we’re doing we can’t really disclose. But it’s definitely a 15-year-old’s dream. I have been given custody of him. You know, he’s signed to Usher and I had legal guardianship of Usher when he did his first album. I did Usher’s first album. For the next 48 hours, he’s with me. And we’re gonna go full crazy."
After news of the rapper's arrest broke, fans flooded Bieber's Instagram with comments. "The world should have protected you," one wrote, while another urged him to "reveal" his "mentor." According to someone close to the 20-year-old, the topic of Diddy remains especially painful for Justin. Despite this, the star has reportedly changed his attitude on the matter and has begun sharing his traumatic experiences with close friends.
"The last thing Justin wants to do is relive or even discuss his complicated friendship with Diddy," an "InTouch" informant says. "But he’s finally breaking his silence to his friends about his nightmare experience."
There is no doubt that Bieber has gone through difficult experiences in his youth that have cast a shadow over his life. In a heart-wrenching recording from 2020 circulating online, the artist tearfully recounts his past. In a conversation with Zane Lowe of Apple Music, Justin said that "It was hard for me being that young and being in the industry and not knowing where to turn."
"He’s tried to be up-front about his demons and how he’s relied on therapy and his faith to get back on track. Still, it’s been hard to have all of this stuff being dredged up," an "InTouch" informant says. Right now, adds the source, he’s focusing on his "massively supportive" wife Hailey and their 1-month-old son, Jack, "but if speaking about his past trauma can help others, he probably will. He wants to break the cycle, once and for all."
