Cutlets are one of the most popular dinners chosen by Poles. Let's face it—no matter how good pork or ground meat cutlets are, they can get boring eventually. That's when I reach for the recipe for delicious cutlets made from chicken thighs. They are so tasty that everyone asks for seconds.

When I don't know what to prepare for dinner, it's a sign that it's time for delicious chicken cutlets. You can use both fillets and thigh meat, but thigh meat will make the cutlets juicier and more flavorful. You don't have to worry about deboning, as more and more stores are offering just the meat without bones. An interesting addition of vegetables will attract even those who previously declared that they weren't starving.

Gyros cutlet - recipe for chicken dinner

Instead of traditional cutlets, today I propose a light and aromatic alternative—gyros chicken cutlets. This dish will not only delight with its taste but also with its simplicity of preparation. Favorite vegetables, juicy meat, and a cheesy topping make for a delicious dinner idea. It works great not only for everyday meals but also for more festive occasions.

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces of meat from chicken thighs,
  • 2 pickles,
  • 1 red bell pepper,
  • 1 yellow bell pepper,
  • 9 ounces of yellow cheese,
  • 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise,
  • 3 tablespoons of spicy ketchup,
  • a pinch of salt,
  • favorite gyros seasoning,
  • a bit of oil for frying.

Instructions:

  1. Gently pound the meat. If you are using fillets instead of thighs, cut them crosswise into two pieces.
  2. Sprinkle them with salt and gyros seasoning.
  3. Fry on both sides in hot oil until golden brown. Do this over medium heat to seal the meat and keep it perfectly juicy.
  4. Dice the pickles and bell peppers finely.
  5. Add mayonnaise and ketchup to them. Mix thoroughly.
  6. Place the fried meat on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. On each piece of meat, place a portion of vegetable sauce.
  7. Generously sprinkle everything with grated yellow cheese.
  8. Put it in an oven preheated to 375°F for about 40 minutes. The cheese should melt beautifully, and the meat should be juicy and full of flavor.

Serve with your favorite sides, such as rice or fries. Enjoy your meal!
