Journalist killed in raid. The news anchor breaks down in tears
A Palestinian television journalist, along with several of his family members, was tragically killed in an attack on his home in Khan Yunis, located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. "It's only a matter of time before they kill us," another reporter claimed as he reported the death of his colleague. Overwhelmed with grief and fear, he removed his helmet and vest, arguing that they wouldn't offer him any protection. The news anchor, upon hearing these words, broke down crying on air.

The journalist, Mohammed Abu Hatab, was killed in Thursday's strike on his home in Khan Yunis, south of Gaza. Alongside him, 11 members of his family were also killed.
The Palestinian news agency, WAFA, reported that the deaths of Mohammed Abu Hatab and his family were the result of a "devastating Israeli air strike" on his residence.
"Abu Hatab was on duty, reporting from the Nasser hospital in Khan Yunis and documenting the atrocities committed against the people of Gaza by Israeli forces. Just an hour before his untimely death, he presented his latest report from the hospital," WAFA stated.
On Thursday evening, Salman Al Bashir, a fellow journalist, gave an emotional account of his colleague's death on Palestinian television. Overcome with despair, Al Bashir discarded his helmet and protective vest. "We are exhausted... It's inevitable they will kill us," he said, his voice cracking. "These personal protective measures are futile. Nothing shields journalists. One by one, we're losing our lives... Mohammed Abu Hatab was here only half an hour ago," he added, mournfully.
The anchor in the television studio could not hold back her tears and broke down on hearing his account.
