Jolie awaits Pitt's release as legal battles over custody and vineyard rage on

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's marriage ended in 2016, and despite being divorced for nearly five years, the stars continue to face each other in court. Following Pitt's latest move, Jolie's lawyer released a surprising statement.
Paul Murphy says his client can't wait for Pitt "to finally let her go." These words were uttered during another round of the legal battle, for which the actor had his bodyguard testify. The man's testimony could heavily implicate Jolie.
After so many years, it's hard to figure out why Pitt and Jolie are at each other's throats. The background not only involves custody of six children but also alleged forcing to sign documents and a dispute over a vineyard. What's it about this time?
Another round
Paul Murphy recently spoke on behalf of his client, making it clear that Angelina Jolie is tired of the legal battle with her former husband. - "All Angelina has ever wanted was separation and health, with positive relationships between all members of their family, including Mr. Pitt. She looks forward to the day when he is finally able to let her go," said Jolie's lawyer.
In the meantime, Brad Pitt is far from "letting her go." This is evidenced by the involvement of a guard who testified against Jolie. Tony Webb, who has accompanied the star-studded family for years, confirmed that the mother of six discouraged them from spending time with Pitt after the breakup. Jolie's team is now trying to withdraw this report.
What are they arguing about?
Furthermore, the actors dragged each other to court over the Chateau Miraval vineyard (Provence). The couple bought the property in 2008 for $30 million, with the provision that neither of them would sell their part without the other party's consent. During the divorce, Jolie agreed to sell her shares to Pitt, but later, she made a deal behind his back with a Russian billionaire, a tycoon in the alcohol industry. The actor claims she did this in retaliation for the unfavorable custody ruling.
Revenge and violence
Last year, Brad Pitt filed documents in court accusing his ex-wife of "vindictiveness" and breaking an agreement not to sell her part of the winery without his consent.
Meanwhile, sources close to Jolie stated that her actions were motivated by the actor's behavior in denying allegations of domestic violence. "No matter how many times Mr. Pitt amends his complaint, he cannot escape from the fact that he verbally and physically assaulted Ms. Jolie and their children — even choking one of the children and striking another," a Page Six source said.
