In February of this year, Dani Alves was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison by a Spanish court for raping a 24-year-old woman in December 2022, at a Barcelona nightclub.
The verdict is currently under appeal, with prosecutors seeking a harsher sentence and Alves' lawyers arguing for his innocence. After posting bail of approximately 1.1 million dollars in March, the former Barcelona player was released and is awaiting retrial in freedom. He has been ordered not to leave Spain, and authorities confiscated his passport.
A photo Joana Sanz shared on Instastories shortly after Alves' release caused a significant stir. It depicts her hand clasped with her husband's, indicating their ongoing relationship.
Controversy arose again when Sanz posted photos from a trip to Ibiza on social media, revealing that Dani Alves had joined her. One photo, showing Alves from behind on a cliff looking out to sea, was promptly removed from her Instastories. According to "Mundo Deportivo," the removal was due to criticism over Sanz's public support of Alves.
Spanish media report that Alves must check in at Barcelona every Friday to sign documents granting him conditional freedom. However, this requirement did not stop him from taking a trip to Ibiza.
