Jennifer Lopez's 2024 recap omits ben Affleck amid divorce
Grand premiere for Netflix, family moments, red carpets, and music videos. Jennifer Lopez had plenty to reminisce about in her 2024 year-in-review. She didn't include her ex-husband.
Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck were involved in one of the most turbulent relationships in Hollywood. They first tried their luck in the early 2000s, which failed. Years later, their paths crossed again, leading to a wedding in July 2022. However, the wedding euphoria quickly waned, becoming a crisis at the beginning of 2024. Divorce papers indicated that since April, they have been officially separated.
Lopez might not want to remember Ben
Jennifer Lopez released a video on Instagram summarizing her most significant moments from 2024. However, the video lacked her husband, Ben Affleck, with whom Lopez is divorcing. The "2024" video featured snippets from her live performances, movie premieres, and events like the Met Gala.
The summary also included personal moments of Lopez's life, including shots from her documentary "This Is Me… Now: A Love Story," inspired by her relationship with Affleck. Despite this, Affleck himself did not appear in the footage.
In her video, Lopez emphasized that despite her difficulties in the past year, she is proud of how she dealt with them. She also added that "the best is yet to come."
The video also contained scenes from Lopez's family life, including moments with her 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, and her 55th Bridgerton-style birthday party. The material also included clips from her travels across Europe and her appearance at a Kamala Harris rally. You can watch the video below.
While Lopez spent the holidays with her family in Aspen, Affleck celebrated with Garner and their children. Media comments suggest that Affleck spent time with his ex-wife because of their shared children. Despite the divorce, the couple has remained on friendly terms for years. Let's recall that the stars started dating in 2004. They had previously met on the set of "Pearl Harbor" and "Daredevil." They married in June 2005 during a private ceremony held by Turks and Caicos Islands. They share three children: Violet Anne Affleck (born in 2005), Fin Affleck, and Samuel Garner Affleck. The couple divorced in 2015 but did not sever ties. Garner supported her ex-husband as he went through multiple stints in rehab for alcohol and pornography.
