Jaguar roars into the electric era with a bold new logo revamp

Jaguar, the British automotive industry icon, has unveiled a revamped logo and refreshed branding. This move marks the brand's transition to exclusively producing electric cars by 2026. CNN reports that the new logo will be officially presented on December 2 during Art Week in Miami.

The 102-year-old Jaguar, known for its luxurious and dynamic cars, has announced a modernization of its image. The new logo is a key element of these changes.

Gold letters unite in a harmonious design, with the "G" and "U" distinguished by a unique combination of upper- and lower-case letters, creating an unexpected visual effect. As Jaguar points out, these changes are meant to capture the spirit of modernism and prepare the brand for an electric future, CNN reports.

Jaguar's electric revolution

The logo change signals a larger transformation—a complete transition to electric vehicle production by 2026. To prepare for this step, Jaguar is making changes to its lineup: in the UK, sales of combustion vehicles have ceased, and in the USA, only one model is available.

The iconic leaping cat, which has been the Jaguar's symbol for decades, will also be replaced. The brand's new vehicles will feature a minimalist badge. Additionally, a monogram with the letters "J" and "R" has been introduced, becoming one of the recognizable elements of the brand's new image.

This new outlook on the company brings back the essence of Jaguar, nodding to the values that made the brand unique while adapting it for a contemporary audience. It highlights Gerry McGovern, the Chief Creative Officer of Jaguar Land Rover.

The first cars with the new logo will be unveiled on December 2 during Art Week in Miami.
