The heat wave hit Italy again, driven by the African anticyclone named Charon. The predicted temperature for Monday is 108 degrees Fahrenheit. The Ministry of Health is urging caution.

The Italian portal roma.corriere.it warned on Monday morning that very high temperatures are expected across the entire region of Italy. According to meteorologists from ilmeteo.it, in northern Italy, the thermometers show 99-100 degrees Fahrenheit.

But these are not the hottest areas of the country. In Emilia-Romagna and the lower part of Veneto, as well as in the provinces of Ferrara and Bologna and the central part of the country, the mercury exceeds 104 degrees Fahrenheit.

The Ministry of Health has issued the highest red alert level for heat in the Eternal City. Authorities in Rome have highlighted the adverse effects of the heat and repeatedly called for care for the most vulnerable, including the sick and the elderly.

Medical services are on standby, and ambulances continually patrol the city, responding to cases of fainting. Tourists who walk around in the full sun are particularly at risk.

The media are full of appeals to adhere to principles important for health and life. It is essential to seek shade, ensure proper hydration, and use sunscreen.

The current heatwave is expected to last longer in much of Italy. Initially, cooling was forecast after the weekend, but the latest forecasts indicate that the heat will continue until August 10 in some areas.
