Films and series dedicated to famous people enjoy great popularity. The series "The Crown" tells the story of the British royal family, which has conquered Netflix. The same goes for productions dedicated to artists, politicians, actors, fashion designers, and musicians. Just look at the number of films telling the story of Elvis Presley to understand the phenomenon of learning about the private aspects of the lives of front-page individuals.

Did Angela Merkel become a private detective?

In 2023, the series "Miss Merkel - Ein Uckermark-Krimi" was released, telling the story of Angela Merkel after her retirement. In the production description, its creators wrote: "After resigning from office, the chancellor moved to a small town in the Uckermark with her husband and dog. But initially it is not easy for her to leave the hectic city life and politics behind. But then there is a death. The ex-Chancellor finally has a job again."

In the series "Miss Merkel - Ein Uckermark-Krimi," Angela Merkel becomes a private detective who solves the mystery of the death of Baron Philip von Baugenwita. Although the reviews of the production are average, receiving about 5.4 stars out of 10, Italian television decided to purchase the rights to broadcast the series.
