Italian surfer Giulia Manfrini tragically killed by swordfish

Italian media reported that Manfrini suffered a two-inch wound from this horrific incident. Two eyewitness surfers immediately assisted and transported the injured woman to a medical facility. Unfortunately, her life could not be saved.
Manfrini was from Venaria Reale in the Piedmont region of Italy. Originally a snowboard instructor, she transitioned to surfing after an injury. She moved to Bali, where she honed her surfing skills and started a travel agency.
