The extraordinary feat by the Italian politician. Lorenzo Lotti broke the world record for running with a baby stroller, completing 62 miles in 8 hours. This wasn't his first achievement of this kind, as two years ago, he ran 31 miles with his older son in a stroller.
The Italian local politician Lorenzo Lotti ran 62 miles with a baby stroller in 8 hours and 1 minute, setting a new world record. His seven-month-old son slept through almost the entire race.
The race took place in Chesapeake, Virginia, USA. Lotti, head of the sports department at the Predappio municipal office in the Emilia-Romagna region, beat the previous record of 9 hours. Just after completing the run, the politician expressed his joy at the accomplishment.
"It was amazing. My son slept for seven hours during the run, and in the hour he was awake, I stopped and fed him," Lorenzo Lotti told the newspaper "Corriere della Sera". Due to the low temperature, which reached 19 degrees Fahrenheit, the stroller was equipped with special wind protection, and toys were used to help calm the child if needed.

"I would like to run with a double stroller, together with my two sons," Lotti said when asked about his future plans by one of the journalists.
Lorenzo Lotti, 38, combines his passion for running with his work in local government. Throughout his political career, he has undertaken initiatives aimed at raising awareness and encouraging residents to engage in sports actively.
