Italian manicure is an alternative to hybrid and gel nails. The appropriate painting technique enhances the appearance of the hands, making your nails look as if they just came from the salon. It involves leaving small, unpainted areas on the sides of the nail, which visually elongates them.

What is Italian manicure?

How does it work in practice? We paint the nails as close to the cuticles as possible without touching them. The polish is applied in vertical lines, leaving small gaps between the edge of the nail bed and the polish, which optically lengthens the nails and makes them appear slimmer.

The best results are achieved by using dark colors, such as bottle green, navy blue, or red. Italian manicure offers a simple way to achieve an elegant effect without using gel extensions. More important than the color of the polish is, of course, the correct technique of applying it.

How to care for nails in winter?

Winter poses a challenge for our nails, as they are exposed to many harmful external factors during this period. Low temperatures and dry air can negatively affect their condition, leading to weakness and brittleness.

Products available in every home, such as petroleum jelly or olive oil, can be helpful. Regularly massaging these substances into the cuticles and the nail bed supports their hydration and strengthens the nail plate.

It is also worth mentioning tea tree oil, which has antibacterial and antifungal properties. Additionally, it can strengthen brittle nails.
