For several months, the strife between Israel and Hamas, labeled as a Palestinian terrorist organization, has escalated.

Nearly every day, new videos showcase the palpable disdain between the two nations.

A video on website X captures a moment when a man, driving along a highway, halted his vehicle to desecrate a Palestinian flag. This incident took place near the Israeli settlement of Kohav HaShahar.

The injured man was a military reservist

As “The New York Post” reports, this happened along a highway in the West Bank, a region under Israeli control but part of Palestine.

Upon spotting the flag concealed among bushes, the man attempted to destroy it. Unexpectedly, a mine placed near the flag detonated when he kicked it forcefully.

The “Los Angeles Times” reveals that the man is an Israeli military reservist. Shortly after the incident, an Israeli volunteer organization announced that he received roadside first aid for minor injuries and declined hospital treatment.

According to “The New York Post,” in recent days, Israeli soldiers have fatally shot two men who attacked and attempted to stab a group of soldiers near a Hebron settlement, resulting in the deaths of two militants aged 18 and 19.

Explosion triggers widespread commentary

The video has ignited a flurry of reactions on social media. Shared on "X" under the account "WarNewsPL," it has attracted nearly 900,000 views, and many users have voiced their thoughts.

"In war, nothing is to be touched", "Today Palestinians will mine a flag, tomorrow a teddy bear on the playground", "It’s an old trick, yet it still works", "This video is likely a metaphor for the entire conflict".
