Israeli military plans to break up Gaza Strip into tribal Emirates, Israeli media reveals

The Turkish news agency Anadolu passed on this information from the Israeli media. Reports state that the Israeli army has formulated a plan in which the Gaza Strip would be segmented into areas governed by tribes or clans rather than by a singular political entity. The proposal is set to be presented to the Prime Minister's office on Tuesday.

Per the public broadcaster KAN, the proposed strategy may also apply to the West Bank, recommending its division into emirates. This plan would allow Israel to maintain security control. The area currently governed by Hamas would be split into various regions and subregions, facilitating separate communication lines for affairs like the distribution of humanitarian aid.

The Turkish agency noted that Tel Aviv has yet to comment on these reports. However, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has frequently stressed that he would not permit the Palestinian Authority to gain control over the Gaza Strip. The interim administration currently oversees the West Bank, mentioned in the plan devised by the Israeli army.

According to Anadolu, the United States takes a different viewpoint on this issue. Washington is advocating for the Palestinian Authority to govern the Gaza Strip following the end of the conflict.
