Iranian media quote the advisor to Iran's highest leader, Ali Hosseini Khamenei. "We congratulate the Palestinian fighters," said Rahim Safavi, quoted by ISNA. "We will support the Palestinian fighters until Palestine and Jerusalem are liberated," added Rahim Safavi

These comments have not been officially verified. So far, the Iranian government has not issued any official statement on this matter.

At least 22 killed in Saturday's Hamas attack

At least 22 people were killed in Hamas' attack on Israel on Saturday - reported by N12 station. Militants infiltrated many cities in the south of the country. Israel was also attacked by thousands of rockets. The death toll is likely to rise.

The attack on Israel has been ongoing since 12:30 AM Eastern Time. There are reports of at least 500 injured.

The Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemns Hamas attacks

"I strongly condemn the ongoing attacks of Hamas on Israel. This unwarranted aggression and acts of violence, especially towards civilians, are unacceptable. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by these terrible events" - wrote the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on social media.

The Polish Embassy in Tel Aviv also condemned the rocket attacks on Israel from the Gaza Strip on Saturday, reminding of the procedures in case of shelling and advising against traveling to border areas.
