Israeli army reduces presence in Gaza, leaving only Nachal Brigade
The Israeli army has withdrawn all ground forces from the southern Gaza Strip, except the Nachal Brigade, according to a report by the Reuters agency, which cited an army spokesman. This information has also been confirmed by the Times of Israel website, which mentioned that only the Nachal Brigade remains in the area.

Both the Times of Israel and Reuters have reported on the withdrawal. The communication with an Israeli army spokesperson confirmed to Reuters.
This brigade is assigned to guard the Necarim corridor, a transversal passageway in the southern portion of the Gaza Strip that extends from Beeri in Israel to the coastal region within the Gaza Strip. Typically, a brigade in the Israeli military comprises about 1,000 soldiers.
The military's press service has also announced the troop withdrawal from this area but did not disclose further details.
The troop withdrawal's implications, particularly whether it suggests a postponement of Israeli forces' anticipated entry into Rafah, a city near the Egyptian border, remain uncertain. However, Reuters notes that this move aligns with Sunday's upcoming ceasefire negotiation talks in Cairo.
Sunday will mark the six-month anniversary of the conflict ignited by the attack of the Palestinian terrorist organization Hamas on Israel. This ongoing six-month battle in the Gaza Strip represents the most intense period of the decades-long conflict between Israelis and Palestinians, which has spanned more than seventy years.
