On Thursday morning, the Gaza Strip's civil defense reported the death of at least 25 people as a result of Israeli airstrikes on areas where refugees were staying. Most of the victims are women and children. The Israeli army has not yet commented on these events.

In the town of Al-Mawasi in the south of the Gaza Strip, the impact of two Israeli rockets killed 16 people and injured 23. In another attack in the north, in Beit Lahia, seven people were killed and 13 were injured. Civil defense spokesman Mahmud Basal emphasized that most of the victims are women and children.

The number of deaths in the Israeli offensive, resumed on March 18, already exceeds 1,600 people. The Gaza Strip Ministry of Health reports that most of the dead are civilians. Israel has expanded its ground operation, ordering the evacuation of civilians from border areas.

Humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip

The Gaza Strip is devastated by the ongoing war. Israel has cut off humanitarian aid and electricity supplies, worsening the humanitarian crisis. The war broke out after a Hamas attack on Israel in October 2023, and current actions aim to force Hamas to extend the ceasefire.

Israel demands the release of hostages in exchange for a ceasefire, while Hamas wants to end the war. The situation in the Gaza Strip remains tense, and the future of the conflict is uncertain.
