Israel attacked the airport in Aleppo.

On Saturday evening, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights and official media reported that Israel carried out an air attack on the international airport in Aleppo. As a result of this attack, the airport was so severely damaged that it is currently not possible to use it.

The SANA news agency reported that work is still ongoing to determine the full extent of the damage caused by this attack.

Meanwhile, the Al-Watah newspaper reported that as a result of the attack, the airport's runway, which had just been repaired after the previous attack that took place on Thursday, was damaged. At that time, in addition to the airport in Aleppo, the airport in Damascus was also attacked. Just like the airport in Aleppo, the airport in Damascus is currently unable to function.

It's worth noting that there has been no confirmation of this attack, as well as previous ones of this kind, from the Israeli side.

Reuters Agency reminds that Israel is conducting attacks on Syrian airports in order to block Iranian weapon supplies to groups fighting with government forces. In this way, Israel is trying to counter weapon supplies that could bolster forces fighting against the government.
