Main Information

  • Israel resumed bombing the Gaza Strip after the release of a hostage.
  • A hospital in Khan Yunis was attacked, resulting in the death of a journalist.
  • Hamas accuses Israel of killing civilians and a journalist.

According to the Polish Press Agency, the Israeli army resumed bombing the Gaza Strip overnight from Monday to Tuesday, following the release of an Israeli-American hostage by Hamas. Among the targets attacked was a hospital in Khan Yunis.

Senior Hamas representatives continue to use the hospital for terrorist activities, cynically and brutally exploiting the civilian residents of the hospital and its surroundings, reported representatives of the Israeli military.

Hamas authorities claim that in the hospital attack, several patients and journalist Hasan Aslih were killed. Hasan Aslih was the director of the Palestinian news agency Alam24. Israel, on the other hand, argues that Aslih was “a terrorist operating under the guise of a journalist.” The deceased man was in the hospital after an Israeli attack on April 7, during which two other journalists lost their lives.

Escalation of Conflict

Since the attack on October 7, Israel has intensified military actions in the Gaza Strip. Authorities in the region report that as a result of the conflict, over 52,800 Palestinians have been killed.

The situation in the region remains tense, and the international community is calling for de-escalation. International organizations are urging for dialogue and the search for peaceful solutions. However, for now, both sides remain steadfast in their actions.
