The series, which tells about an exclusive Spanish institution, debuted in 2018 and quickly became a major hit in terms of viewership. On October 20th, its seventh season will land on Netflix. The further fate of the title is already known.

"Elite" is the longest-running Spanish series on Netflix, so the decision to finalize the project was only a matter of time. Two days before the release of the new season, the platform published a post on the X service informing that the series will end after the eighth season, which is currently in production.
As reported by Deadline, the creator of the series, Carlos Montero, admitted at a press conference dedicated to the seventh part that the next one will undoubtedly be the last.
- We're filming the eighth season, which will be the last of "Elite". We ended in a good style. Jaime [Vaca, co-showrunner of the 7th season - note author], Netflix and I thought it was time to end it. I say this with great regret because these were a few incredible years during which I met wonderful actors, we worked with all the directors we wanted to work with (...) – summed up Montero.
"Elite" changed everyone's lives; there are actors who started with us and thanks to that they have now become world stars. (...) We are proud that we could contribute to this and that we were watched all over the world and people liked it - expressed gratitude to the creator.

"Elite", a series created by Carlos Montero and Jaime Vaca, has been airing since 2018, and its action takes place in a fictional high school. It's a drama for teenagers telling about the relationships between three working-class students, enrolled in an elite school as part of a scholarship program, and their wealthy classmates.
In the cast are Ander Puig, Carmen Arrufat, Álvaro de Juana, Ana Bokesa, Álex Pastrana, André Lamoglia, Valentina Zenere, Carla Díaz, Martina Cariddi, Adam Nourou, Manu Ríos, Mirela Balic, Fernando Líndez, Gleb Abrosimov, Ivan Mendes, Alejandro Albarracin, and Maribel Verdu. In the eighth season, Ane Rot and Nuno Gallego will also appear, and Mina el Hammani, who appeared in the first three seasons, will reprise her role as Nadia.
