Is it a smartphone or a smartwatch? Motorola replies: "yes"
Motorola has unveiled one of the most intriguing gadgets in recent years. It's a device like no other. It looks like a regular smartphone, but its flexible design allows you to wrap it around your wrist like a bracelet, thereby obtaining a fully functional smartwatch.

The concept from Motorola is called "adaptive display". In its basic form, it's a smartphone equipped with a roughly 2.7-inch pOLED display with FullHD+ resolution.

The design is flexible, allowing for example to create a kind of stand from part of the screen—then such a standing gadget has a 1.8-inch display. To a large extent, it resembles a simplified panel, with which we deal when folding the Razr+ smartphone.
However, the most intriguing feature is the ability to wrap the device around the wrist. In this way, we obtain something akin to a "smart" bracelet or simply a smartwatch. For this purpose precisely, the back of the phone is coated with a soft material, which is intended to make wearing the gadget on the hand fully comfortable.
The device automatically detects its current form. Based on this, it activates the appropriate mode of operation: phone, information panel, or smartwatch.
The whole thing works based on the Android system, which means we are dealing with a fully functional device. Another issue remains the answer to the question of whether this will be a device available for sale. Motorola, however, has experimented more than once, so this is not ruled out. Although it probably won't happen in the near future.
