The 80-year-old actor had an accident that provoked anxiety among his followers. Several people rushed to his aid, helping him recover and get back on stage. Despite the incident, Chase appeared to be in fine fettle and assured everybody that he was doing well.

The incident has raised many questions. Fans are left speculating about the actor's actual health condition and whether he may be unwell. In the days leading up to the film screening, the 80-year-old was observed using a wheelchair.

Chevy Chase's manager has dismissed reports of the actor having any health problems. In a dialogue with the Daily Mail, he stated that the actor's health condition is stellar.

"His health is outstanding, and tickets for his tour 'A Live Conversation With Chevy Chase' are selling out all over the country. He occasionally uses a wheelchair due to the strain of travelling," it was reported.

Back in 2018 when he was 77, the actor confessed to the "Washington Post" that he had been diagnosed with alcoholic cardiomyopathy. This is a heart disease caused by sustained excessive alcohol intake. In 2021, he spent five weeks in the hospital, experiencing "weakness and heart problems".

Chevy Chase commenced his show business career in 1975 with the entertainment program "Saturday Night Live". Over the years, he rapidly rose to fame and amassed considerable wealth. By the close of the 20th century, he was being touted as "America's Funniest Man" and received numerous film offers from top Hollywood studios.

Chase's most memorable character is Clark Griswold from the comedy series "National Lampoon's Vacation". The series comprises films: "Vacation", "European Vacation", "Christmas Vacation", and "Vegas Vacation".
